The activities of transportation of crude oil through oil pipelines and transportation of petroleum products through product pipelines are the energy activities of the public interest. As a special kind of services, its performance is regulated by the Law on Public Enterprises and performance of activities of public interest (“Official Journal of the Republic of Serbia” No. 25/00, 25/02, 107/05 and 108/05) and the Energy Law (“Official Journal of the Republic of Serbia” No. 84/04). All status and other important issues related to the performance of public interest activity of the company are decided by the Government. The license for transportation of crude oil through oil pipelines was obtained from the Energy Agency of RS in 2006.

The company will not transport petroleum products until the petroleum product pipeline is constructed. In the next coming years, the intensive works on preparation of the technical documentation for building of the energy facilities will be taken in the Company, all in accordance with the Law on Planning and Construction (“Official Journal of the Republic of Serbia” No. 47/03 and 34/06).
